Members of an Italian family of burglars who stole over £1.2m valued of items, among them from ex- Newcastle United forward Isak, have been ordered to return just £1 per person.
Brothers Valentino and Giacomo Nikolov, their sister Jela Jovanovic and her son Charlie journeyed to the north-east of the UK to raid multiple homes in April 2024.
The group of four were imprisoned for from a decade or less in 2025.
At a proceeds of crime proceeding at Newcastle Crown Court, Jela and the brothers Nikolov were ordered to repay £1 each while Charlie must pay £1,135.
The judge previously heard the group came by boat in the UK on March 27, 2024 and employed a RV as their "headquarters", which they stationed at a service area and Durham service stations while utilizing another car to search for properties and carry out thefts.
On March 31 they took over one million pounds of items including designer clothing, purses, jewellery and a honor from a house on a street in Jesmond, while the owners were on holiday.
The following night, the crew broke into a home on a gated cul-de-sac in Whitburn, and took luxury bags, valuables and footwear valued at over one hundred thousand pounds.
Following surveillance of the football club's training ground for 48 hours, they then acted at the residence of Swedish striker Alexander Isak in Darras Hall, Ponteland on April 4, taking ten thousand pounds in money, sixty-eight thousand pounds worth of jewellery and the striker's one hundred twenty thousand pound luxury car.
The group, who were portrayed by the prosecution as professional itinerant thieves, used hand coverings and masks, switched their phones on silent as they neared their objectives and strapped a license plate, which had been stolen from a auto shop in Chester-le-Street, on to their vehicle with rubber straps.
They were apprehended in the Birmingham area on April 13.
Valentino had denied the burglary plot but was found guilty by jurors, while his family members had all submitted admissions to the same charge.
At the proceeds of crime hearing, prosecutor the prosecution said each of the burglars had benefited from their crimes to the value of £1,266,285.93, which was based on what the victims said they had had stolen.
But Charlie Jovanovic was the sole individual found to have any money that could be "realised", namely £1,135.50 which had previously been confiscated by authorities, the court heard, with two weeks to be spent in prison if he failed to pay.
The other three had no money or property so were ordered to pay a nominal fee of £1 each, with seven days in incarceration the result if the money was not submitted.
The judge Spragg said if they were found with property in the future, "such as driving around in Italy in a fast car or possessing a property", the prosecution could initiate further action to "recover the amount outstanding".
