Prosecutors report that a ex- physician now faces charges for performing sexual assaults against thirty-eight individuals who were under his care.
Nathaniel Spencer from Birmingham is accused of numerous acts of sexual assault – comprising acts against children younger than 13 – spanning the period from 2017 and 2021.
A deputy chief CPS official commented, “Legal teams have diligently worked to support a detailed and complex investigation, carefully reviewing the evidence to establish that there is sufficient evidence to proceed to trial and that it is in the interest of justice.”
These allegations come after what police described as a “complex investigation” into alleged assaults at two hospitals: a hospital in Stoke-on-Trent and Russells Hall hospital.
Spencer is scheduled to appear at the local magistrates' court on 20 January.
