Fantastic $30 Cartography Software Bundle Is a Virtual Tabletop GM's Dream

After a brief run back in April, this cartography software collection is back for a limited time that lasts until Dec. 2. Described as an extensive collection of mapping tools developed by ProFantasy Software over the years, the entire collection carries a value of over $1,300. Additionally, there exist three different bundles available here.

The Main Attraction

The big draw is definitely permanent access to the CC3+ software, an industry-standard cartography program which enables users to generate various types including fantasy overworld maps, smaller regional maps, city maps, and, perhaps most importantly, tactical combat environments.

Package Levels

Entry Level

The most affordable option, at a minimum cost of $1, includes only four from the thirty-nine available products: Fantasy Overland Symbol Collection, Token Treasury: Monsters 1, Castle Source Maps, and Source Maps: Cities!. This one's only for cartographers who already have CC3+, yet it provides fresh fantasy design elements for landscape mapping, over seven hundred fifty creature tokens for use in virtual tabletops, over twenty-five aerial castle designs with 470 associated map tokens, eight fully mapped cities, plus seventy-plus building interiors.

Intermediate Package

The eight-product collection for at least $15 is where things get more interesting by adding in a lifetime CC3+ license, the first Annual volume, Ultimate Mapping Guidebook, Isometric Cities Symbol Pack. Cartographer's Annual is the yearly bundle from ProFantasy's ongoing subscription program featuring a variety CC3+ add-ons including map packs and additional utilities. The Isometric Cities enables display cities with an extra dimension with isometric views from multiple angles. And the Tome of Ultimate Mapping comprises 760 pages suitable for novices and experts, full of tips and tutorials for the map-making process.

All 17 volumes from the Annual series are included here, alongside a slew of additional tools and content that can help users craft complete solar systems, or just go all-in on classic fantasy realm creation: battle maps, underground complexes, urban centers, and continents from almost any perspective. Users can also create character illustrations. At thirty versus fifteen dollars, the complete collection offers tremendous value, especially for cartographers with temporary CC3+ access seeking permanent licensing. But it's obviously an even better deal for cartography beginners since it includes introductory guides to facilitate learning. The one caveat here is that while the purchase is available on any platform, the software is only usable on Windows.

As with other Humble Bundles, part of every purchase supports charitable organizations. In this instance, the beneficiary is Save the Children, an organization founded by Eglantyne Jebb in 1919 dedicated to enhancing children's welfare globally through education, health care, and emergency relief.
